CPNRE Exam Prep for Saskatchewan LPN Candidates
CPNRE exam prep for Saskatchewan Licensed Practical Nurse candidates: practice questions, clinical cases and mock exams built to the CPNRE Blueprint 2022-2026, with CLPNS standards and Saskatchewan law — The Licensed Practical Nurses Act, 2000, the Regulatory Bylaws and HIPA — throughout, never another province's.
Built to the CPNRE Blueprint, with Saskatchewan law where the law differs
The CPNRE is one national exam, so the clinical core — assessment, pharmacology, care planning, collaborative practice — is the same in Regina as in Calgary. What changes at the border is the law: who regulates you, which act defines your scope, which statute governs the chart. Lumina keeps the clinical core and swaps every legal, scope, consent and privacy reference for Saskatchewan's own, item by item.
- Every mock assembled to the Blueprint. Category ranges, cognitive levels, client-age minimums and the case mix are checked on every form before it is served.
- Legal items scoped to Saskatchewan. A Saskatchewan learner is never shown another province's regulator or statute. The scoping is enforced by the product, not by an editor's memory.
- An AI tutor that knows where you are. Ask it which privacy law governs your charting and it names HIPA, names the CLPNS, and calls your exam the CPNRE — because it reads your jurisdiction, not a script.
- Scope checker for Saskatchewan. Describe a task and get a ruling against The Licensed Practical Nurses Act, 2000, the Regulatory Bylaws and the CLPNS practice guidance on authorizing mechanisms, with the instrument cited.

Frequently asked questions
Which exam does a Saskatchewan practical nurse write?
The CPNRE (Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination), the same exam as Alberta and most other provinces. Saskatchewan candidates register with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Saskatchewan (CLPNS) as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs).
How is the CPNRE delivered in Saskatchewan?
Virtually, with remote proctoring, in six windows a year (January, March, May, July, September and November). The fee is $610 and candidates have four attempts, taken in succession; a missed sitting counts as an attempt.
Is Lumina's Saskatchewan content the Alberta content relabelled?
The CPNRE is a national exam, so clinical content built to the CPNRE Blueprint serves every CPNRE province. What differs is the law: Saskatchewan legal, scope, consent and privacy items cite The Licensed Practical Nurses Act, 2000, the CLPNS Regulatory Bylaws, the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics and HIPA, and Saskatchewan learners are never shown another province's legal items.
Does the mock exam follow the real CPNRE?
Yes. Every mock is assembled to the CPNRE Blueprint 2022-2026 ranges — category, cognitive level, client age and case mix — and validated before it is served, with 160 to 170 questions like the real form. See the CPNRE study guide.
Is Lumina AI approved or endorsed by the CLPNS?
No. Lumina AI is an independent study tool built to the published CPNRE Blueprint and the CLPNS's published standards. It is not affiliated with, approved by or endorsed by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Saskatchewan, the CCPNR or Yardstick.
When does Saskatchewan open?
When its legal and scope items have been written and reviewed by a nurse educator. Join the waitlist above and we will email you the day it opens. It will be free to start, with no credit card required.

CPNRE facts reflect the CPNRE Blueprint 2022-2026 and the CLPNS examination page as of September 2026; regulator and statute names reflect CLPNS publications (The Licensed Practical Nurses Act, 2000, amended June 2025; Regulatory Bylaws effective April 2025). In Saskatchewan "RPN" means Registered Psychiatric Nurse and is never used here for a practical nurse.
